Equivalent TEM mode theory, V-antenna
The equivalent TEM mode Theory introduced by I. A. Eshrah and M. N. I.
Fahmy was based on a brilliant idea of Modeling the radiated power of the
antenna in the form of distributed losses along a lossy Transmission line. The
bright side of this idea is its ability to have the advantages of the traditional two
approaches, the analytical approach and the numerical approach,. It can describe
the antenna parameters in closed form expressions and the results obtained using
this model are very close to the numerical results. The equivalent TEM mode
provides simple expressions for the antenna characteristics, which save the
physical insight to the whole problem, without losing the accuracy. On the other
hand the previous model has some limitations: the procedure of extracting the
model parameters is rather complicated and has no regular approach also this
model is provided only for the case of straight wires. The thesis introduces a
systematic procedure for extracting the model parameters and generalizes the
model by applying the same procedure in the case of V-antennas
