Summary:
Modern speech recognition applications are heading towards embedded systems
and hand-held devices. Distributed Speech Recognition (DSR) system
architecture emerged to address this kind of applications, where it consists of
Front end and Back end parts. The front end is concerned mainly with features
extraction. This thesis presents a design for the front end unit in the DSR system
based on the Aurora standard published by the ETSI.
