Election of representatives for 4th year students at the EECE Department took place on 13 October 2011. In an unprecedented step, an E-Voting System that was fully designed and implemented by the "Design Lab" of the EECS Department was deployed and proved to be very effective. Top Faculty Administration, including Dr. Sherif MOURAD (Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research) and Dr. Amr ADLY (Vice-Dean for Student Affairs) attended the event. In addition, Eng. Tarek SAAD (Advisor to the Minister of Administrative Development) and Eng. Mohamed MANSOUR (Executive Director of the Government Services Development Program at the Ministry of Administrative Development) participated in the event. Professor Mohamed RIAD - Head of the "Design Lab" at the EECS Department explained the new E-Voting System to the visitors, which was demonstrated live during the election of representatives for 4th year students.
